Jolene was never meant to stay. She began as a summer spark, a country restaurant in Auckland where you could let your hair down, two-step an the bar and live a little louder. But something happened. Auckland showed up, and kept showing up.

So we found her a forever home on Ponsonby Road. Here the spirit of American country meets the style of inner-city Auckland, creating a Ponsonby restaurant that serves mouthwatering food, cocktails, cold beer and live music. Now Jolene isn’t just a bar or restaurant, she’s a stage, a soundtrack and a story you want to be part of.

  • Every good restaurant has a story, and ours starts with a song. Jolene takes her name from the iconic Dolly Parton track, bold, emotional and impossible to forget. But here on Ponsonby Road, Jolene isn’t just the muse, she’s the main act. She’s the woman who owns the room, warm, wild and unapologetic. More than a bar or restaurant, Jolene is a country spirit with a city swagger, bringing Auckland together over food, cocktails and live music.

  • Jolene’s food serves up old-school country and western favourites. From buffalo wings to steak, every plate is made to pair perfectly with ice-cold beers, authentic margaritas and our full drinks menu.

  • Jolene is the perfect Ponsonby restaurant to host your next event. From bachelorette and bachelor parties to birthdays and corporate gatherings, we’ve got the space, food and drinks to keep the good times rolling. Celebrate in style with country spirit and Auckland energy, only at Jolene.

  • You can’t bring your own food or drinks to Jolene, but don’t worry, we’ve got everything covered with our full food and drinks menu.

  • We take bookings up until 7pm, after that it’s walk-ins only. Reserve your table online through our booking page or give us a call on +64 21 985 326. You can also view our full food and drinks menu on the menu tab of our website.

  • Thanks to our prime location on Ponsonby Road, there is on-street parking right out front as well as in the nearby side streets. If you’d rather not drive, we recommend grabbing a ride so you can relax and enjoy yourself safely.

  • From 11am to 9pm we welcome guests of all ages. After 9pm, Jolene is an R18 venue and ID is required.

  • We love welcoming furry friends. You’re welcome to bring your pet to our outdoor dining area, though we recommend leaving them at home later in the evening when things get lively.
